Piscina BCN, the International Swimming Pool Exhibition, calls for entries for this new edition of its Awards for Innovation and Safety.

PARTICIPATION RULES

  1. All those products exhibited at Piscina BCN 2009, the International Swimming Pool Exhibition, and submitted in response to this call for entries shall be eligible for the Piscina BCN 2009 Innovation Award and the Piscina BCN 2009 Safety Award.

  2. The products submitted for consideration for these Awards must be entered by the individual or legal entity that rents the space where they are exhibited at Piscina BCN.

    Candidates must register via the web site www.itec.cat/piscina and attach information on the product in doc, pdf, or jpg format.

  3. The deadline for submission of documentation is 2.00 p.m. on 2 October 2009.

  4. The Jury shall meet during the Exhibition and may request additional information from the exhibiting company's stand.

  5. The Jury will award the Piscina BCN 2009 Innovation Award to a product that represents a major contribution by way of a new approach to the construction process, use or maintenance of swimming-pools, wellness centres and recreational sports facilities.

  6. The Jury will award the Piscina BCN 2009 Safety Award to a product that represents a major contribution to aspects of safety in the construction, use or maintenance of swimming-pools, wellness centres and recreational sports facilities.

  7. The Jury will award the Piscina BCN 2009 Innovation Award and the Piscina BCN 2009 Safety Award to those it considers the winners. If it sees fit, it may award special mentions.

    The Award consists of a commemorative diploma, which shall be presented to the individual or legal entity that has submitted the product.

    The Awards may not be declared vacant or granted on an ex aequo basis.

  8. Resolution of any incident arising with regard to the adjudication of the Awards shall be the sole responsibility of the Jury. The Jury's decisions shall be final.

  9. The announcement of the Jury's decision and the Awards Ceremony shall take place on 21 October during the Piscina BCN 2009 Exhibition.

  10. The winning products and those receiving a special mention may publicize the distinction received in their technical literature.

  11. Participation in the Piscina BCN Awards implies acceptance of these Rules.
